Many of you may remember that every year Rick and I do a gig on a cruise ship---and not just any cruise ship: The Crystal Symphony (If you know about cruise lines, that is a BFD). Rick teaches a few computer classes on the days at sea...and my job is to try the drink of the day, every day. Several times a day. This has gotten to be so much fun that I now attempt to match the drink to my dress.
Someone has to.
This year, despite the fact that we had to travel from the other half of the planet, we cruised the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Saguenay River, from Maine, to Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. I was initially a little ho-hum about this part of the world (it has no obvious monasteries, monks or yaks in the road after all). But we were both blown away with how gorgeous it was---rugged coastline, pretty cities, folks speaking weird French and seafood galore! We didn't even realize how ocean starved we were. We don't get a lot of seagulls in Bhutan. The highlight, though, was that my two sisters were able to join us on the middle cruise.

In addition, we made wonderful new friends in Nova Scotia, which has hatched my new scheme: a house-swap in Nova Scotia next summer. YES!
Instead of boring you with endless details of fresh lobster and sushi, not to mention sunsets at sea, incredible landscapes and wild blueberries, I have selected 5 of my favorite pictures, from the 200 I took. It was tough.
Enjoy!

Top that off with some wild blueberry crumble, please. And while you're at it, a good Canadian beer,eh.
We are now home again in Bhutan after 30 hours and wicked jet lag. Our Asian adventures begin again...more on that soon.
